Have you ever thought that you needed to choose between elegance and safety? With our custom-made doors, that is no longer the case.
We offer a wide range of colours and finishes to suit any external architecture, with custom fitting to match any functional purpose you have for the doors, but what makes them particularly safe is something that is not readily visible.
At the core of our external door is an enhanced safety and security core, consisting of a multi-point locking system, a reinforced frame to avoid break-ins and a core made of rockwool.
What is rockwool? Also known as stone wool, rockwool is a type of mineral wool insulation typically made from basalt and other volcanic rock.
As with other types of mineral wools and glass wool, rockwool is an excellent insulating material, but that is far from the only way in which it makes buildings safer and more comfortable.
Rockwool is well-known for its excellent insulating properties, even amongst other types of glass wool. It has the capability of trapping small pockets of air, creating a barrier between the outdoor and indoor temperatures.
This works to minimise draughts, as well as ensure that the home stays warm in winter and cool in summer.
Rockwool helps to prevent sound from travelling in and out of your front door, which helps with privacy and stops loud external noises such as cars and nearby events from intruding into your home.
Possibly the best feature of rockwool when it comes to safety is its fire resistance, which allows the wool to withstand temperatures as high as 1000 degrees Celsius without melting or catching fire.
What this buys in a fire door or front door is time, as the more a fire door holds, the slower the fire will spread and the more time people have to evacuate.
