Top Tips You Should Remember For Kitchen Designs

If you’ve lived in your current home for some time, you’ll know how much of an exciting time it can be to plan out an area that needs to be renovated. However, you’ll want to ensure that any stage of a redesign is thought through to the finest detail. No matter where your house is based in the UK - from Manchester to London - kitchen tiles is one example of an area that shouldn’t be overlooked.

If you don’t want to take our word for it, then the Atlanta Journal-Constitution has compiled some top tips from renowned designers on the importance of each aspect of home design.

De Giulio Kitchen Design founder Mick de Giulio reminds any homeowner to “heed the domino effect”. For example, if you change your cupboards to be more compact, where will you put some of your larger, heavier appliances? Of course, it’s not a reason to put home renovations on hold, but to take an idea on paper and picture how that scenario would change the landscape of a room.

Julia Buckingham, who is the founder of Buckingham Interiors + Design, has suggested that you shouldn’t overlook how technology could change your experience cooking. You could look at having a TV that pops in and out from the rooftop, for example, which could be valuable if you want a video demonstration of a certain recipe rather than following a cookbook.

Fred Wilson, who runs Morgante-Wilson Architects, commented: “Visitors to your kitchen should be comfortable and able to sit down, either at an island or breakfast table, and be able to talk with you while you work in the kitchen.”

Considering how much time you’ll spend cooking in the kitchen, dining with the family or inviting friends over, you don’t want to pass up the opportunity to create a space where everyone can feel comfortable spending their time.
